WHAT WE DO
Established by artist Carole Vincent, Half Acre Studios is now run by artists Sam Halstead and Phoebe Stannard.
We offer a variety of regular art classes for adults, focusing on sculpture and printmaking, both day workshops and intensive week long courses.
We run a regular young artists programme, to complement the work of local schools and enhance the career prospects of young local artists. In the summer holidays we run 3-day childrens' courses and morning family workshops. There are two studios at Half Acre, one converted from the old pighouse provides a general purpose workshop for painters, printmakers and sculptors and the other a purpose built sculpture workshop. |
