WHAT WE DOEstablished by artist Carole Vincent, Half Acre Studios is now run by artists Sam Halstead and Phoebe Stannard.
We offer a variety of regular art classes for adults, focusing on sculpture and printmaking, including both day workshops and intensive week-long courses. Our ongoing young artists programme supports local schools and aims to nurture the careers of emerging local talent. During the summer holidays, we run three-day children’s courses as well as morning family workshops. Half Acre features two studios: one converted from the old pighouse, serving as a versatile workshop for painters, printmakers, and sculptors; and a purpose-built sculpture workshop. |
