Young Artists' Saturday Studio (Ages 12-16)
Dates: Saturdays during term time, (5th September 2026 – 24th July 2027). Booking is by half-termly booking block.
Time: 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm
Age: 12–16 years (all abilities welcome)
Venue: Half Acre Studios, Boscastle, North Cornwall

Course Description:
Designed for young artists aged 12 to 16, the Young Artists' Saturday Studio is offered in half-termly booking blocks, providing a supportive environment for students to develop their creativity, technical skills and artistic confidence in a professional artist's studio.
Working with professional-quality materials and equipment, students explore a wide range of media including drawing, painting, sculpture and printmaking. With a strong emphasis on observational drawing, projects combine working from life with imaginative and experimental approaches, encouraging independent thinking, creative problem-solving and personal artistic expression.
Classes are led by experienced artists and tutors Sam Halstead and Phoebe Stannard, who are passionate about helping young people develop their artistic abilities while fostering confidence, curiosity and a lifelong enjoyment of art.
To ensure individual guidance and a spacious studio environment, places are limited to 15 students per session. All materials are provided, and both tutors hold enhanced, up-to-date DBS checks.
