Art Experiences for Schools & Residential Groups in North Cornwall
We welcome school day trips, independent learner and home education groups, and day workshops for residential trips to Half Acre Studios for creative, hands-on art sessions tailored to your curriculum or project goals.
Led by professional artists Sam Halstead and Phoebe Stannard, who bring over 30 years of combined experience teaching young artists, our workshops take place in our inspiring studio and sculpture garden — or out en plein air on the Cornish coast.
We are passionate about offering high-quality art tuition in a working artist’s environment, where children and young people can develop skills, explore materials, and gain confidence through real artistic practice. Every session uses professional tools and materials, giving students the rare opportunity to work as artists do.

Group size: Up to 30 pupils (split into smaller activity groups)
Ages: Key Stage 1 to College age, adaptable to all abilities
Location: Half Acre Studios, Boscastle, Cornwall
Timing: Half-day or full-day sessions available
Fees: From £30 per pupil (3 hours). Please contact us for a tailored quote, discounted rates available for local schools.
We’re happy to work with teachers to align sessions with curriculum goals or create a memorable creative enrichment day. All materials are provided. Risk assessments and DBS certification available on request.
