Marie achieved her BA Fine Art degree from Swansea University where she involved her audience through installation pieces designed to explore our human, emotional relationship to created space. This characteristic theme runs through Maries work and influences how she engages with her students.
Marie has diverse experience from working in further education as an arts technician, art teacher and freelance artist; She uses her highly developed crafting skills with installation, textiles, ceramics, multimedia and plaster casting to inspire and enable adults and children to express themselves. Recently this has included working as a graphic facilitator to empower the Kernow Maternity Voices Partnership in their campaign to influence improvement plans in the NHS.
In her own practice Marie continues to explore multi-media, installation, textiles, wax, plaster, wire, photography and sculpture. Marie’s key inspirations come from the internal world, the figurative and the botanical environment.
